Introduction
Welcome to Dektor! By accessing or using the mobile application ("App"), you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of the Terms, please stop using the App immediately.
Registration and account
To use certain features, you must create an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for the security of your account and for all actions that take place within it. You can notify us immediately if you notice unauthorized use.
Archaeological site data
The App displays public data about archaeological sites, provided by the official source https://ran.cimec.ro. Although we update the data daily, discrepancies may exist. Dektor and its developers cannot be held responsible for any errors or legal consequences resulting from the use of this information.
User contributions
Users can submit location suggestions or corrections. These are reviewed by our team and, if approved, may be included in the app. By submitting a suggestion, you declare that you own the rights to the submitted content and grant us a non-exclusive license to use it within the app.
User content
You can upload personal discoveries (photos, notes, locations). Content is private by default, but you can make it public according to your preferences. You are responsible for the legality of the uploaded content and for respecting the rights of others. Illegal, offensive or copyrighted materials are not permitted without the author's consent.
Privacy and personal data
We only collect data strictly necessary for the app's operation (email, location, discoveries). The detailed policy can be found in the Privacy Policy. We comply with European data protection legislation (GDPR).
Limitation of liability
Dektor is a free service, offered "as is", without guarantees of continuous operation or without errors. We do not guarantee the accuracy of the data, and use of the app is at your own risk. We are not responsible for:
- Accidental access to protected sites due to incorrect data
- Inaccuracy of GPS data provided by the device
- Loss of uploaded data due to technical causes
Donations and third-party services
The app can be supported through optional donations (e.g., Buy Me a Coffee). Payment processing is performed by the third-party platform, and Dektor does not store your financial data. We do not offer guarantees or refunds for donations made.
Use by minors
The app is not intended for users under 16 years of age without the consent of parents or legal guardians.
Copyright
The logos, design and content of the app belong to Dektor and are protected by copyright law. Users may distribute screenshots or informational materials about the app, but may not use the brand for commercial purposes without written consent.
Termination of use
We may suspend or close your access to the app in case of violation of the Terms. All provisions related to liability, copyright and limitation of warranties remain valid even after termination.
Applicable law
These Terms are governed by the laws in force in Romania and the European Union. Any dispute will be settled by the competent courts in Romania.
Changes
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the app after the publication of changes represents acceptance of them.
